Where It Starts
Sourcing
& Quality
Quality at Spice Meat Shop begins before a single cut is made. It starts with who we buy from and how we bring that product through our door.
We partner exclusively with CFIA-inspected suppliers, prioritising farms within British Columbia. Every animal, every fillet, every product is hand-selected by our lead butcher before it enters our preparation area.

Poultry
Free-run, grain-fed British Columbia chicken. Air-chilled for superior texture.

Lamb & Goat
Heritage-breed lamb and goat sourced from licensed BC and Alberta farms.

Fish & Seafood
Wild-caught and sustainably farmed salmon, COD, and Basa from Pacific suppliers.

Hand-Selected Premium Cuts
Our head butcher personally inspects every delivery. Cuts that do not meet our colour, marbling, and trim standards are rejected. We accept no substitutions and carry no second-grade product.
Federally Inspected Suppliers
Every animal product sold at Spice Meat Shop is sourced exclusively from CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) federally inspected facilities. This is non-negotiable.
BC and Local Farm Partnerships
We prioritise suppliers within British Columbia. Our primary poultry and lamb partners operate within a 200km radius of our processing facility. Fresher supply chain, lower food miles, stronger local economy.
Transparent Supply Chain
Every product can be traced back to its source facility through our intake log system. We work only with licensed federally-inspected suppliers, and our team reviews supplier certifications on every delivery.
No Artificial Additives
Our marinade contains zero artificial preservatives, MSG, artificial colouring, or flavour enhancers. Every flavour you taste is the product of real spice, real yogurt, and real time in the cold.
Species Segregation and Traceability
Poultry, red meat, and fish are sourced, stored, and handled through entirely separate channels. Every batch enters our system with a supplier lot number tied to its origin facility.
